Fn KeyFn as another key

Fn as another key

Say you’ve made Caps Lock your new Fn key, and you want the Fn key to function as the Caps Lock key:

Set a temporary Fn key

Set a macro so that pressing another key triggers the Fn key

For this example use /

Rebind Physical Fn key

Set a macro so pressing Fn is like pressing Caps Lock

Rebind temp key to be Caps Lock

Then rebind Fn (in our case /) to Capslock

If you want this but in Mac mode, do the change in Windows mode, then change to Mac, then you will need to rebind right cmd back to itself for some reason.

Why this method? You need to set another key as Caps Lock before you remap Fn to Caps Lock, becasue when its function, you have no way of telling a key to be Caps Lock

If the blue light on the RIGHT is on, that means Windows Lock is on (windows key won’t work unless you press it with Fn)

Things you can’t do…

You can’t bind anything to the buttons that add time to the macro, so Fn + T,G and B 😔

You can’t run a macro with another macro, so you can’t make crazy long functions 😔

You can’t have more than 2 key presses for a function unless you use Ctrl or Shift, and you can’t have 3 keys if you do use Ctrl or Shift, so no Ctrl +R + P for example 😔

If you try and bind a key, but have to press it twice for the flashing LED, that means there is already something programmed on that key/key combination
